Peer SPACES training is a tightly structured learning experience that helps anyone gain the essential skills and knowledge to do this well, so they can be truly helpful for friends, co-workers and/or customers. Perfect for industry, residence staff and college students, employee wellness programs or anyone who wants to be able to show up for their peers in exceptional ways.

 

No prior experience is required for this 10-hour course that combines self-directed online material and live sessions to develop skills and confidence

Peer SPACES Online Training Program

Developed and delivered by internationally-recognized experts in peer support, SPACES offers a solid grounding in values, principles and techniques of supporting others on a peer basis and provides multiple opportunities to practice those techniques in a neutral, safe environment.

- How to be fully present in peer-to-peer interactions
- Effective and appropriate use of your own experiences

What is the learning experience?
SPACES self-directed content is delivered through an intuitive online learning platform incorporating videos, slide presentations, talk-throughs and exercises, Learners also participate in 2 experiential two-hour skills sessions with the faculty via Zoom.

 

Who Should Participate?
Peer SPACES training is an invaluable tool for leaders and communities seeking solutions to combat loneliness, isolation and distress– including colleges and university
staff and students, health- and social services providers, members of faith communities, support group volunteers, those considering professional peer specialist careers and certification, and any one who wants to be able to ‘be there’ for others.
