INTRODUCING HUMANNOVATIONS

Humannovations is a social enterprise dedicated to transformative impact in mental health and suicide prevention on the local, national and multi-national levels by deploying innovative programs and solutions to empower communities. As led by internationally recognized thought leader and mental health expert Eduardo Vega, Humannovations' programs amplify mental health, social equity and suicide prevention through social-justice and trauma-informed systems change, specialized peer support program development and culturally-responsive skills training in communities worldwide.

The world is facing a global crisis in mental health and suicide. YOU can make a difference!

A recent Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) shows that the teen suicide rate in the United States has skyrocketed in recent years, up 56% in the past decade. Suicide is now ranked as the second-leading cause of death for people between the ages of 15 and 24 years old.

WHY DO WE NEED HUMANNOVATIONS?

Humannovations 5.jpg

Globally, "close to 800,000 people die due to suicide every year, which is one person every 40 seconds. . . There are indications that for each adult who died by suicide there may have been more than 20 others attempting suicide," according to the World Health Organization.

When suicides are at historical highs, and more people are reporting anxiety, depression, addictions and suicidality than ever, human innovation is crucial.

To realize a healthier future, we need HUMAN resources outside traditional service provider systems- skilled, compassionate people who help eliminate isolation and shame as obstacles. We need INNOVATIVE programs to empower these people with tools, skills and knowledge to support themselves and others. We need SOLUTIONS that put communities and people with lived experience at the center of a mental health revolution that is grounded in reality, hope, compassion and human dignity. WE NEED HUMANNOVATIONS today.
